I like the style, it reminds of "The Scream." Definitely helps sets the mood of the painting.

I love it! This is an interesting style of painting. I think the brushstrokes are what really define the technique and give it contour.

I did several paintings in this style when learning impressionalism. I think I am better at it then my original passion of abstract.

Impressionism is one of my favourite styles! I am very much influenced by Manet. But I certainly see a dark Cezanne brushstroke style. It resembles it, but in zombie form and not still life and landscapes.

wow neat! that style is impressionism? was van gogh this style of art? I know he did starry night but after that I know literally nothing about famous artist except whats on the surface (doh!)

Van Gogh is technically Impressionism, but his work encapsulates so many styles derived from various contemporaries. Monet is considered the epitome of Impressionism, but Manet is better in my opinion. Cezanne is a good example, and so is Mary Cassatt. You might even want to try some American Impressionism.
